The Consulting GIS Specialist serves as the Service Center Manager and Site Supervisor for the California Great Basin GIS Service Center. This individual will lead day-to-day GIS operations, supervise staff, manage enterprise GIS infrastructure, and oversee development of GIS applications supporting Reclamation missions across 17 western states.
Key Responsibilities
Manage daily operations of the GIS Service Center.
Supervise GIS specialists and application developers.
Direct GIS production schedules and workload planning.
Manage enterprise geodatabases and ArcGIS environments.
Support cloud-hosted GIS infrastructure and server environments.
Lead GIS application and web services development efforts.
Coordinate with BOR and DOI IT organizations.

Support water resources, environmental, land management, and emergency response programs.

Required Qualifications

Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from a fully accredited college or university with at least five (5) years of experience providing business and financial support to organizations with S&T
At least three (3) years of experience extracting and efficiently organizing cost analysis information for technical programs
At least three (3) years of experience in tracking availability and use of funds and review financial documents and plans for impact on program objectives and requirements. This may include, but is not limited to, program specific financial issues related to deficiencies, excesses, trends and imbalances that directly impact execution benchmarks
At least three (3) years of experience supporting organizations with Science and Technology (S&T) and/or Research and Development (R&D) missions
At least three (3) years of experience assisting in the annual phasing and planning process and assist Program Officers in developing their spend plans
